Joining the Rogue Slayers implies that you must follow their rules and code of conduct as a whole. They are there mainly to create cohesion and order within the clan just like for any society as well as giving it an identity.
There exists mandatory rules and optional ones, the latter simply meaning that not abiding by them would not result in a ban but are more there, as mentioned earlier, to give the clan an identity. Note that these rules are subject to change upon agreement between the leader and the subs of the clan. ROGUE SLAYERS MANDATORY RULES
If it is not an insult then the term noob is tolerated (whether related to items or low level players) though in the later case, especially for those in this clan, the terms "rookie" or "Potentials" are preferred being less rude. After all everyone knows that the real noobs are hackers (and if meeting one you can insult it that way, there are no problem). The code of honor of the Rogue Slayers when fighting is the following:- If you meet a vampire or ouster that you know you can defeat with ease but still want to slay, wait for him or her to finish what s/he was doing for example collecting items and heads before proceeding to his or her execution. ![]() Two vampires told to finish their stuffs before inevitably ending to dust. - Do not take advantage of the situation if your enemy is already fighting several monsters. That does not mean you have to help him or her but wait 'til s/he's done, you can also zone chat him or her telling your soon-to-be victim your intentions. For example: "Once you're done with them, you'll be mine." Only cowards and weak slayers use monsters as a helping hand. However if your enemy attacks you when you're already under attack, you are free to return him or her the favor. - Still with an enemy you know you are sure to slay, give him or her the chance to heal his or her wounds before fighting (tell that in zone chat for him or her to understand), then proceed your slaying once s/he is at his or her best: ![]() She didn't listen to my advice, attacked and collapsed - The last and more important point of the honor code of the Rogue Slayers is to either introduce oneself before or after the fight so to be sure one's victim know the name of his or her executioner (and it will perhaps also allow one to know the name of the victim if the latter replies). And admit it, one liners always feel great ;). ![]() ![]() 3 vamps willing to take down a lone slayer, only to be slain courtesy of Faith the Rogue Slayer These are the rules and code of conduct Rogue Slayers have to abide by. Note that the mentioned rules are mandatory whereas the honor code is just a little extra -and thus you are not compelled to exactly follow it- for the rest of the slayers to know that you belong to the Rogue Slayers clan and to earn you the esteem of your peers. Now, as mentioned in the presentation, Rogue Slayers don't mind using the dirtiest tricks in the book to achieve their goals. These tricks can range from luring vampires and ousters through zone chat -with one making them believe one is from the same race as them- to finding flaws and exploits in the system as well as other things as long as it doesn't penalize or harm other players and doesn't take away their fun. These, are the Rogue Slayers' ways, the ways of Faith. |
